RFPs: Health Care Workforce Resiliency Promotion and Training Programs

On July 16th, the federal Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA) released two Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for efforts related to improving resiliency and mental health for the health care workforce:

  • Promoting Resilience and Mental Health Among Health Professional Workforce (PRMHW)
    • Funds for health care providers and associations to engage in evidence-based practices to improve resiliency and mental health.
    • Up to 10 awards of approximately $2.9 million each over three years.
  • Health and Public Safety Workforce Resiliency Training Program (HPSWRTP)
    • Funds for governments educational institutions, academic health centers, and other not-for-profit entities to provide training to address burnout and promote resiliency
    • Up to 30 awards of approximately $2.3 million each over three years.

These RFPs define the “health care workforce” to include a broad spectrum of health care workers, including professionals, paraprofessionals, and others.
