On June 28th, the New York City Human Resources Administration’s Department of Social Services released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for the provision of scattered-site supportive housing for young adult families. This housing consists of scattered-site apartments located in multiple buildings integrated into the community, intended to provide residents with affordable, independent housing and access to community resources, and to reduce the demand for services in inpatient settings. Approximately $22.8 million in total funding will be allocated through this RFP to develop a fully integrated program that implements an evidence-based parenting skills model, including case management at a 1:10 ratio or lower, for young adults at risk of homelessness who are head of household with children or who are pregnant.
A summary and the full RFP are attached. Applications are due on August 15th.
