SAMHSA Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic Expansion Grants

On January 10th, the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) Center for Mental Health Services released a Funding Opportunity Announcement (FOA) for Certified Community Behavioral Health Clinic (CCBHC) Expansion Grants. These grants support the continued expansion of the CCBHC model in states that participated in the 2016 Planning Grant program for the development of CCBHCs, including New York State.

Approximately $197 million in total funding will be awarded to eligible organizations (up to $2 million annually), which include existing CCBHCs or organizations that can become certified within four months. CCBHCs provide comprehensive person- and family-centered services that aim to increase access to community-based care, stabilize individuals in crisis, and provide the necessary treatment and recovery support services for individuals with complex mental and substance use disorders.

A summary of the FOA is attached. The full FOA is available here. Applications are due on March 10th.
