On November 21st, as a result of advocacy efforts, the Dormitory Authority of the State of New York (DASNY) reverted back to the original eligibility requirements included in its Request for Applications (RFA) for the 2023 Nonprofit Infrastructure Capital Investment Program (NICIP). DASNY had previously issued an update that would have excluded most organizations licensed to provide health and behavioral health services.
As such, organizations licensed through the New York State (NYS) Department of Health (DOH), Office of Mental Health (OMH), Office for Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS), and Office for People with Developmental Disabilities (OPWDD) and organizations eligible for funding through the NYS Statewide Health Care Facility Transformation Program (SHCFTP) are once again eligible to apply for funding through the RFA.
The updated RFA is available here. Applications will be processed and scored (based primarily on project viability) on a first-come, first-serve rolling basis between December 1st and January 7, 2024.
