ACS Preventive Services

On June 12th, the New York City Administration for Children’s Services (ACS) released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for organizations, including social service agencies and clinical providers, to engage and serve children and families who need the following types of foster care prevention services:

  • Family Support (formerly referred to as “General Preventive”)
  • Therapeutic and Treatment Models

This RFP will allocate funding throughout New York City for almost 12,000 service slots, with a total annual funding of about $650 million. Funding will support eligible organizations that support families in their communities, promote family stability and well-being, and reduce the need for placement in foster care. Such services may include case management, counseling, and clinical interventions offered primarily in the home.

Applications are due on August 8th. Our summary and the full RFP are attached.
