On September 28th, OMH released two RFPs for the operation of up to 88 scattered-site supportive housing units for adults with a serious mental illness (SMI). The RFPs are separated by region and by population. One RFP covers 50 units in New York City for individuals with SMI who were discharged from State Psychiatric Facilities and Article 28 or 31 hospitals. The other RFP covers 38 units in Long Island for SMI individuals who are included in certain high-need populations.
