Behavioral Health VBP Readiness Program

On May 4th, the New York State Office of Mental Health (OMH) and Office for Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) released an updated description and application for the NYS Behavioral Health (BH) Value Based Payment (VBP) Readiness Program. The Program offers $60 million in funding to qualified community-based behavioral health providers for planning and implementing BH Care Collaboratives (BHCCs)—including Independent Practice Associations. These partnerships are intended to position BH providers to form sustainable VBP arrangements.

To be considered for the VBP Readiness Program, applicants must submit non-binding Notification of Interest by June 5th. A webinar that addresses how to complete and submit these Notifications of Interest will be held on May 18th from 2pm to 3pm. Registration for the OMH/OASAS webinar is available here.

Attached is a summary of the VBP Readiness Program and application requirements.
