RFA: Comprehensive Integrated Outpatient Treatment Programs

On March 25th, the New York State Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) released a Request for Applications (RFA) for one-time funding to support the development of Comprehensive Integrated Outpatient Treatment Programs. These programs have co-located OASAS Part 822 outpatient services and Opioid Treatment Program (OTP) services that function under one operating certificate. Services, service delivery, programmatic space, and staffing will be integrated; however, billing and reporting will remain separate.

OASAS will provide up to $3.5 million in total funding to help fifteen providers:

  • Integrate outpatient and OTP programs;
  • Develop new OTPs in order to integrate with outpatient services; or
  • Expand access in OTPs to provide services to non-Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) populations by adding outpatient services.

This funding is made available through supplemental funding allocated by the federal Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act to the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Block Grant program. Eligible applicants include voluntary agencies or other not-for-profit organizations that currently operate OASAS-certified Part 822 OTPs and/or outpatient services.

The RFA is available here and SPG’s summary of the opportunity is attached. Applications are due on April 21st.
