RFA: Primary Prevention Infrastructure

On October 15th, the Office of Addiction Services and Supports (OASAS) released a Request for Applications (RFA) for one-time funding to support primary prevention infrastructure development. This funding, made available from the federal American Rescue Plan Act and Coronavirus Response and Relief Supplemental Appropriations Act, includes the following four separate initiatives as part of a single application to support the delivery of primary prevention services:

  • Evidence-Based Practice Training & Materials
  • New Evidence-Based Practice Start-up Support
  • Environmental Change Strategy Enhancement
  • Technology Support

Providers may apply for any or all of the four initiatives. Eligible applicants are OASAS-funded providers who deliver direct primary prevention services. OASAS will award up to $70,000 per provider.

The full RFA is available here, and our summary can be found here. Applications are due on November 12th and will be reviewed in the order they are received. Funding will be awarded based on applicant eligibility and full completion of the budget and budget narrative, rather than competitive scoring criteria.

Questions should be submitted to COVIDFunds@oasas.ny.gov with the subject line “Requests for Applications – OASAS Project No. SUPP1001” and a reference to each RFA section to which the question refers by October 22nd.
