Pregnancy and Early Childhood Intervention Program Opportunity

On November 13th, the New York City (NYC) Department of Health and Mental Hygiene (DOHMH) released a concept paper proposing a forthcoming Request for Proposals (RFP). This RFP would fund one eligible organization in each NYC borough to operate a coordinated intake and referral (CI&R) system for maternal and child home visiting services.

The goal of this program is to ensure that residents of NYC, particularly those who are Medicaid-eligible or who face significant social, economic, and health challenges, have access to evidence-based or evidence-gathering home visiting services during pregnancy and early childhood. DOHMH intends to award a total of approximately $30 million over six years to five eligible organizations through this proposed RFP.

Information sessions for interested providers will be held November 18th and 20th. Comments on the RFP are due by December 26th. A summary of the concept paper is attached and the full document is available here.
