On May 23rd from 12pm to 1pm, the Managed Care Technical Assistance Center (MCTAC), in collaboration with the Office of Mental Health (OMH) and the Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS), will host a webinar on the proposal template for the Adult Behavioral Health (BH) Home and Community Based Services (HCBS) Infrastructure funds. The State is providing $50 million in funding, which will flow through Medicaid managed care organizations (MCOs), in support of various BH HCBS provider activities or infrastructure investments, with the goal of increasing overall access to and provision of HCBS for Health and Recovery Plan (HARP) enrollees. Funding must be used for activities related to either Access and Infrastructure Development or Crisis Services Development.
The webinar will assist providers who are interested in requesting Adult BH HCBS Infrastructure funding with completing the proposal template. MCOs will solicit and evaluate proposals from eligible providers as necessary to meet the needs of their members. Providers are encouraged to submit comprehensive proposals in partnership with other eligible providers. Eligible providers for funding include:
- Active BH HCBS designated providers;
- Recovery Coordination Agencies (RCAs);
- Care Management Agencies (CMAs);
- Community-Based Behavioral Health Independent Practice Associations (BH IPAs); or
- Training entities for BH HCBS providers, RCAs, or CMAs.
Registration for the webinar is available here. Questions may be submitted to mctac.info@nyu.edu. Further guidance can be found here and application instructions can be found here.
