NOFO: Enhancing Systems of Care for Children with Medical Complexity

On December 6th, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Health Resources & Services Administration (HRSA) released a Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) for the Enhancing Systems of Care for Children with Medical Complexity program. Through this opportunity, HRSA will fund: 

  • Up to five demonstration projects to implement and evaluate evidence-informed, patient/family-centered models of care delivery; and 
  • One coordinating center to support the demonstration projects in meeting their program objectives, developing and disseminating resources, and providing leadership in the field. 

Each demonstration project must implement and evaluate a project to serve at least 75 medically complex children. HRSA will award $2 million in annual funding across the five demonstration projects and $700,000 in annual funding for the coordinating center during the five-year project period.
