On November 25th, The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services released a Request for Applications (RFA) for the Direct Contracting Model’s Professional and Global Options. The Direct Contracting Model expands opportunities to participate in Medicare risk-sharing, drawing from Medicare Accountable Care Organization (ACO) initiatives, particularly the Next Generation ACO Model, as well as innovative approaches from Medicare Advantage and private sector risk-sharing arrangements.
