Call for Presentations at DOH Population Health Symposium

The New York State Department of Health (DOH) is seeking organizations interested in presenting at its Medicaid Population Health Symposium, which will be held in New York City on November 18th and 19th. This Symposium will convene up to 800 leaders and stakeholders in New York’s Medicaid program for a two-day conference, which will include plenary sessions, panels, poster presentations, breakout discussions, and informal networking, with a focus on exploring best practices for participation in value-based payment (VBP) on topics including contracting with Managed Care Organizations (MCOs) and addressing the social determinants of health (SDH). Participants may include:

  • Delivery System Reform Incentive Payment (DSRIP) Program Performing Provider Systems (PPS) and their network partners;
  • Physical and behavioral health care providers;
  • MCOs;
  • Community-based organizations;
  • Health Homes;
  • State agencies;
  • Consumer advocates; and
  • Public health officials.

Interested parties may respond to the Call for Presentations by applying here. Applications are due on July 17th. Responses should showcase successes in the following three areas:

  • Delivery system design and population health improvement;
  • Movement toward health equity; and
  • Transition to value.

Preference will be given to multi-stakeholder presentations that demonstrate VBP in action and include the combined perspectives of payers, providers/networks, and community-based organizations. Proposals including a singular entity perspective may not be considered. Successful applicants will be notified on August 16th.
