New York State has announced the award of $203.5 million in grants through the second round of the Statewide Health Care Facility Transformation Program (SHCFTP II). In total, 95 organizations received awards for capital projects, debt retirement, and other transformation activities for hospitals and community-based health providers throughout New York, including $77.6 million in New York City. Funding for this round was originally allocated in the FY 2017-18 budget, and the State issued a Request for Applications (RFA) in January 2018. $525 million was allocated for a third round of SHCFTP in the FY 2018-19 budget, and the Governor’s proposed FY 2019-20 budget would make $300 million of the $525 million available for applications submitted during SHCFTP II.
