RFP for Medically Supervised Withdrawal/Stabilization/Residential Services Beds

On January 8th, the New York State Office of Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Services (OASAS) released a Request for Proposals (RFP) for organizations to develop and operate Part 816.7 medically supervised withdrawal and stabilization beds and/or Part 820 residential services (stabilization and/or rehabilitation) beds throughout New York State. The enacted 2018-19 State Budget for OASAS provides Capital Projects appropriation authority for the development of residential beds. As such, operational funding for these beds is be available through the State’s annual budget process.

Applicants may not expand any existing Part 816.7 or Part 820 programs. Applicants must apply to establish a minimum of 16 and a maximum of 40 new medically supervised withdrawal and stabilization services beds (Part 816.7) or residential stabilization and/or rehabilitation services beds (Part 820) throughout New York State to the target population.
